Welcome Back!
October 15, 2010
I hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful break! We were all excited to talk about our vacation spent at the beach, the pool, and KY Down Under!
My son, Colton, came by this morning to tell everyone about the play Peter & the Wolf, which begins this Friday at the WKU’s Children’s’ Theatre! You should receive a flyer regarding times.
For snack, we had warm French bread with apple butter. Tomorrow, we will have cinnamon raisin toast with apple jelly, and Friday, we will have apple slices with caramel dip & toast. Milk & water are served with our daily snacks.
We only have two and half weeks before November is here, and we have much to do! Our Fall Festival is Saturday, October 23rd from 10 am-noon, at the Hale Farm. More info & directions will be sent soon. And we have to prepare our class pumpkins! Each class will have at least one pumpkin, which we will auction off. So bring your checkbook! Our class will have two pumpkins, and Lila has inspired us to decorate our pumpkins as a princess and a frog–Lila is going to be a princess for Halloween, and her brother, Ben, is going to be a frog!
Families are invited to bring a dish for a Fall Festival Potluck! I will be bringing a crock of chili! We will have a sign up sheet where you can sign up for your dish, drink, or table-ware. Soon we will let you know the web site where you can sign up.
Our Show and Share this month will be special, because everyone is invited to dress in their Halloween costume! Following our Show & Share rule, toy weapons will not be allowed at school. If your costume has a mask, we ask that children not to wear the mask into school, but show who they are, and then put on their mask during Show & Share.
Thank you!
Miss Michele
