Wonderful Week
February 17, 2012
Dear Plum Tree Families & Friends,
We have had a wonderful week! Miss Hannah finished reading Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Our Mad Hatter’s Tea Party &
the children’s costumes were AWESOME!
We had cake, strawberries and bananas drizzled with chocolate, and tea. Thank you, Miss Hannah!
Miss Hannah is directing the play, A Little Princess, and she began reading us the book. A Little Princess opens February 23 & runs through March 3, 2012 at The Public Theatre of KY. Show times are Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 7:00 pm, and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Please mention you are with Plum Tree.
It is hard to believe, but February is almost gone! The last week of February is Montessori Education Week, and Miss Vicki from Children’s House Montessori contacted me to celebrate together. So far, I have requested Mayor Wilkerson and Judge Executive Mike Buchanon to proclaim February 26-March 3, 2012 Montessori Education Week. Miss Vicki has obtained a tree to plant and a plaque. We will plant the tree at Preston Miller Park, March 3rd at 2pm. The cost of the tree and plaque is $210. The cost will be split between Children’s House and Plum Tree. If you would like to donate towards the tree and the plaque, please let me know.
Also, in honor of Montessori Education Week we will have a peace dove release and a peace walk. Please join us at 2 pm March 3rd at Preston Miller Park!
I am going by Fazoli’s this afternoon to finalize plans for a Montessori night, where they will donate 15% of the proceeds to Children’s House and Plum Tree from all who come in from Plum Tree and Children’s House. You must mention that you are there on behalf of Plum Tree. I will let you know the date.
Remember: Plum Tree is closed Monday for Presidents Day.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Peace be with you,
Miss Michele
